I didn't like this book at all。 I strongly believe charts don't decide the fate of a business。 And this book only focuses on charts。 Had this been fruitful then in the era of AI and super fast computing the stock trading would have been automated and every one should be better off。 This is crap book。 Please save your time and money by avoiding this book。 I didn't like this book at all。 I strongly believe charts don't decide the fate of a business。 And this book only focuses on charts。 Had this been fruitful then in the era of AI and super fast computing the stock trading would have been automated and every one should be better off。 This is crap book。 Please save your time and money by avoiding this book。 。。。more

Please, read this book!!!The amount of absolute rubbish and nonsense it presents is hard to define or explain in words。The fact it is is allegedly a best seller es both funny and quite disturbing at the same time。

Far and wide one of the best books on investing out there。

Good book with a lot of history based knowledge on the market。 The amount of information is a bit overwhelming if new to trading and the market but there are some very simple and key points to understand what a good investment might be。

As informative as it was the last time I finished it! Great review on the investment philosophy/systems used。 Without being too technical, this book may be ok for fundamentalists, semi-technical investors as well as beginners。 Not many chart reading techniques as one would normally see in a day trader's handbook。 Highlights the very common pitfalls of beginner traders (averaging down, tradings on falling knives and etc)。 Simple fundamental rules on trading on a few selected financial ratios。 Cer As informative as it was the last time I finished it! I read this book thanks to Blinkist。What’s in it for me? Learn to win big on the stock market。For many people, the very thought of investing in stocks brings anxiety。 What if the market goes south, and you lose everything? What if you invest in a dud while other great stocks shoot up around it? The truth is, those things do often happen。 It’s a risky game。 Just look at grainy footage of the stock-market crash of 1929 or recall the dotcom bubble, and you’ll see a world of panic and hysteria。But i I read this book thanks to Blinkist。What’s in it for me? Learn to win big on the stock market。For many people, the very thought of investing in stocks brings anxiety。 What if the market goes south, and you lose everything? What if you invest in a dud while other great stocks shoot up around it? The truth is, those things do often happen。 It’s a risky game。 Just look at grainy footage of the stock-market crash of 1929 or recall the dotcom bubble, and you’ll see a world of panic and hysteria。But it doesn’t have to be like this。 There are tried and tested methods。 These will help you to choose great companies, invest in them at the right time, and avoid the unprofitable ones。 You have to learn from history – from the stock market’s great winners and losers。 When you do that, it’s possible to strategize so that you maximize your returns and avoid big losses。 In these blinks, you’ll learn some of these winning methods, from a telltale stock chart pattern to the best types of companies in which to invest。 In these blinks, you’ll learn• what a “cup with handle” means in stock-market parlance;• what Cisco Systems and General Motors have in common; and• how truly innovative companies can race ahead of the pack。Final summaryThe key message in these blinks:Before you invest in the stock market, you should learn how to read stock-price patterns; one particularly useful pattern to look out for is called “Cup with Handle。” As well as stock-price patterns, you should make sure that your chosen stock is sound in other ways。 For instance, it should be an industry leader, ideally with an innovative product or service, while, most importantly, showing an increase in earnings。 Finally, watch what top fund managers are doing but do your own homework, too。Actionable advice:Cut your losses! You should know not just when to get into a stock, but also when to get out。 That is, if you don’t want to lose lots of money。 As a rule, it’s a good idea to sell a stock when it plunges to 8 percent below your buy-in price。 That way, you can keep your losses small as you chase big wins。What to read next: Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits and Other Writings by Philip FisherYou’ve just learned a whole host of top strategies for stock-picking。 As you’ll have discovered, there are things you can do to outsmart the market。 It doesn’t have to be as anxiety-inducing as it seems。 If you want to find out more tips on investing, then you should head over to the blinks for Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits and Other Writings。 There, you’ll learn the tried-and-tested philosophies of stock-market guru Philip Fisher, whose methods have guided investors and financiers for 40 years。 。。。more

No exception。 Seneng saya, soalnya ga suka ribet。 Tp mungkin tdk cukup buat yg ingin lbh meticulous atau penganut paham avg down。 Disesuaikan saja dg preferensi masing2。3。 Cara jualan u/ realisasikan profit。 Nah, di bab ini baru dikasih banyak opsi jualan sama Opa。 Jd sesuai sama prinsip: cut your losses short and let your profit run。 Semua caranya based on chart, jd memang perlu keahlian dan jam terbang。 Tp ada yg mudah kok, saya (baru) memutuskan u/ pakai yg mudah2 itu。 Dan ga ada disuruh pake trailing stop。 Haha。 Saya ada kenal seorang ONeilian yg 15 thn survive di bursa dan nggak pernah pake trailing stop。 Tergantung preferensi masing2 juga。4。 Bab 12。 Sebetulnya bab pertama yg langsung saya baca adalah bab ini krn lg semangat2nya belajar teknikal。 Ya salah sih urutannya, hahaha。 Tau cara beli tu penting dan jauh lbh penting tau cara jual。 Jd saya sarankan bacanya sesuai urutan daftar isi aja。 Haha。 Bab 12, cara baca chart。 Di bab ini Opa membagikan bbrp pola chart berharga。 Sedikit catatan mengenai pola ONeil sbb:Pertama, ONeil bilang klo saham yg kuat itu harus menunjukkan kekuatannya。 Jd, seblom membentuk base, prior trend saham mst naik 30%。 At least pula。 Konsekuensinya, ada pola yg klo di buku lain adlh reversal pattern, di Oneil jd continuation。 Menurut kenalan ONeilian saya, ONeil adlh satu dr sedikit yg memakai struktur harga dlm analisis pola chartnya, saya ngartiinnya sbg reliability krn spy bisa nemu struktur harga pasti pakai riset。 Dan memang ada salah dua atau tiga polanya yg sangat kuat tapi langka。 Susah nemunya dan susah confirm nya。Kedua, klo mau disiplin pake pola ONeil, bersiap jd pasukan genteng alias highlander。 Soalnya belinya pas break base atau di buy point yg rata2 di area leher pattern/base。 Buy high, sell higher。 Klo biasa di selokan pasti akan agak terganggu psikologisnya, kek saya。 Klo kata Opa, klo base/pattern nya emang bagus, jarang koreksi sampe 8% dari buy point yg bener。 Nah。 Saya rasa kuncinya brati penerapannya nggak boleh stengah2。 Saya? Tentunya msh stengah2。 Hahaha。 Maapkan, Opa。Oya, Opa jg ngasih peringatan: klo market lg bear, ya jangan harap pattern nya bakal bekerja。 Iyalah, ya。 Jgnkan naik 30%, 10% aja uda empot2an kali ya, pst uda pada tepe duluan。 Trus jg, penjelasan pattern langkanya cuma bbrp kalimat doang。 Nggak detil, jd mst cari2 referensi lain。 Klo ga salah, di buku Bulkowski jg ada。Last but not least, walopun bukunya ga bahas teknis banget, tp menurut saya klo belum menguasai dasar2 teknikal mungkin agak kesulitan。 Tp dicoba saja, siapa tahu bisa dpt insight menarik。 Kalimat2 Opa nggak njelimet dan sangat tepat sasaran, jd enak banget bacanya。 Kyknya ada yg versi terjemahan, tp saya menyarankan baca yg bhs Inggris aja agar tepat interpretasi。Masih ada bbrp bab lain, tp menurut saya yg esensial yang di atas saja (saya jg blom baca bab2 belakang。 Haha)。 Buat si bapak yg ngasih satu bintang: klo beda aliran, klo mau baca, kosongin dulu gelasnya setengah。 Klo terlalu penuh mungkin akan kelewatan bbrp berlian fundamental。 。。。more

Neist raamatutest, mida aktsiate kohta olen lugenud, meeldis mulle see kõige rohkem。 Natuke häiris autori ameerikaülistamine ja paaris kohas on võrdlus endise NLiga, aga see ilmselt sellepärast, et raamatu esimene trükk ilmus 1990ndate alguses。 Raamatu lõpus on pikalt tutvustatud autori asutatud väljaannet Investor's Business Dailyt - seda osa ma väga ei viitsinud lugeda。 Aga jah, autori põhimõtted aktsiatega kauplemisel mulle meeldivad。 Eriti see, et hajutamine on nõrkadele :) PS。 Lugesin seda Neist raamatutest, mida aktsiate kohta olen lugenud, meeldis mulle see kõige rohkem。 Natuke häiris autori ameerikaülistamine ja paaris kohas on võrdlus endise NLiga, aga see ilmselt sellepärast, et raamatu esimene trükk ilmus 1990ndate alguses。 Raamatu lõpus on pikalt tutvustatud autori asutatud väljaannet Investor's Business Dailyt - seda osa ma väga ei viitsinud lugeda。 Aga jah, autori põhimõtted aktsiatega kauplemisel mulle meeldivad。 Eriti see, et hajutamine on nõrkadele :) PS。 Lugesin seda raamatut tegelikult eesti keeles, aga Goodreadsis seda polnud ja ma ei viitsinud hakata seda ise sisestama, sestap valisin selle, mis olemas oli。 。。。more
